A cleaner future.
PlasmaLeap’s vision is to pioneer a cleaner future, through building accessible and sustainable technology for fuel and chemical production. We want to decarbonise the primary chemicals market, which is one of the biggest sources of global greenhouse gas emissions.
What makes PlasmaLeap special is its platform technology which is built on the innovative chemical microreactor, using non-thermal plasma powered by electricity. With the same core reactor IP, PlasmaLeap can synthesise a wide range of essential chemicals and materials from simple ingredients. Importantly, the technology is small, modular and decentralised, in direct contrast to today’s large, centralised chemical plants which require high temperatures and pressures. This means our customers can access their own primary chemicals on-site and on-demand.
PlasmaLeap’s reactors are world leading in performance, in terms of energy efficiency and production rates.
Our most developed chemical products include Nitric Acid, Calcium Nitrate, and Ammonium Nitrate. The largest consumers of these chemicals are in the Agriculture, Mining and Specialist Manufacturing sectors. Meanwhile at the R&D phase, PlasmaLeap is synthesising Ammonia and Hydrocarbons for use in transportation and power.
Having completed on-farm trials in early 2024, PlasmaLeap has launched on-farm pilots in Tasmania and New South Wales with growers from broadacre and protected cropping. PlasmaLeap is actively seeking customers interested in trialling our end product, from small-scale specialist growers to large-scale agribusiness.
PlasmaLeap is proudly supported by Twynam Earth Fund, Artesian Ventures, The Melt, New Energy Technology and New South Wales Government.
